Project Overview
Brevel is leading the way with its breakthrough fermentation technology, offering delicious, affordable and sustainable protein from microalgae.
My Contribution

Visual Identity
As often the case with startups, Brevel is ever evolving, and so was in need of a quick brand update to better fit changing business goals. The main concern was to move away from a predominantly tech focused brand, to one that is more connected with the food industry, to health and to climate awareness.
I began the branding process with research: I interviewed the founders and other employees on the company's mission, style & tone, strengths and weaknesses. I also conducted market research. Then I went on to update the brand. I kept the green and yellow colors from the logo, and added to them a warm red and cooler aqua. I defined the imagery that should be used. Because we wanted the brand to be approachable, I selected images of people from all over the world cooking together and enjoying healthy meals, alongside images of Brevel's unique technology and images of the product itself.
Website Design
Once the brand was defined, I moved on to design the website. After the design was finalized, I worked closely with the developer, and supported his needs for building the website.

Website Illustrations
I designed all of the Illustrations and icons on the website. I used the brand colors, and a texture to warm up the illustrations of the technology and the microalgae, and make them moor related to food.
